Training clinic exclusion criteria
As the clinic is staffed by Provisional Psychologist, we are not equipped to assist individuals with complex and chronic mental health difficulties.
As we are a training clinic there are some types of difficulties that we are not able to treat.
These include, eating disorders, substance abuse, domestic violence, severe self-harm or suicidality, terminal illness, or recent trauma.
We are also unable to work with people going through any active legal proceedings.
Unfortunately, we are also unable to see active ANU psychology students due to the potential conflict of interest and risks to confidentiality.
As we are a training clinic, sessions are recorded. These sessions are stored confidentially and deleted within a month of occurring. Sessions are only reviewed by the treating clinician and clinical supervisor. We are only able to see people who consent to have the sessions recorded.
