We've built strong partnerships with urban and rural organisations and health providers including hospitals, general practices, private and not-for-profit mental health services, and government departments to allow our students a wide variety of choices for their clinical learning.
To ensure your clinical experience is second to none you will have a wide variety of choices including locations in Canberra, Sydney, rural NSW, the Northern Territory, and overseas.

The Canberra Hospital campus is our metropolitan based clinical teaching unit. The Canberra Clinical School at Canberra and North Canberra Hospitals offers diverse health services, modern facilities, and state-of-the-art pathology and imaging, supporting the health needs of ACT and NSW regions.
The General Practice Community Clinical Placements offer ANU medical students hands-on experience in diverse community settings. Students work with experienced GPs, gaining practical skills and understanding community healthcare.
The Rural Clinical School offers medical students placements in rural communities like Eurobodalla, Bega and Cooma. Students develop clinical skills, learn from senior clinicians, and engage with local communities through various activities.
The Sydney Clinical School at Sydney Adventist Hospital, NSW's largest private hospital, offers comprehensive acute care, diagnostic services, and clinical placements. It features 700 beds, advanced facilities, and treats over 184,000 patients annually.
ANU psychology postgraduates enhance skills through diverse placements in public health, education, forensic, and private settings. Supervised placements ensure competencies for Provisional Psychologists.
The ANU and ACT Health/Canberra Health Services offer the opportunity for medical students from Australia and overseas to complete a clinical elective term at the Canberra Hospital / North Canberra Hospital (formerly Calvary hospital).
Our medical students undertake clinical placements all over the world. We also offer opportunities for students looking to complete an incoming clinical elective term with us.
