Psychology placements
ANU psychology postgraduates enhance skills through diverse placements in public health, education, forensic, and private settings. Supervised placements ensure competencies for Provisional Psychologists.
Students undertaking postgraduate professional programs in psychology complete industry placements where they enhance their professional skills under the guidance of practicing psychologists.
Additionally, our School facilitates placements at the ANU Psychology Clinic and the e-Therapy Clinic for our clinical psychology students.
Placement opportunities vary but can include a diverse range of:
- settings such as public health, education, forensic or organisational settings, private practice, NGO clinics, government services, and digital clinics.
- populations across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, and adults.
- presenting issues in mental health and physical health, working within multidisciplinary teams
All placements are tailored for Provisional Psychologists, ensuring appropriate supervision and ample opportunities for students to demonstrate the professional competencies specified by professional accreditation and regulation bodies.
