Our Sydney Clinical School is located at the Sydney Adventist Hospital is New South Wales’s largest private hospital with over 700 beds, including 523 overnight beds. The hospital first opened in Wahroonga on Sydney’s North Shore on January 1, 1903, as the Sydney Sanitarium, with a bed capacity of 70. The Sanitarium became widely known as the ‘San’ and today, years after its name change to Sydney Adventist Hospital (SAH), it is still fondly referred to as the San.  At this site, over 2,300 staff, 500 volunteers, and 1,000 accredited medical practitioners care for approximately 64,000 inpatients and 120,000 outpatients annually – including the delivery of approximately 1,900 babies, and about 18,000 cases presenting to Emergency Care.
