SMP Seminar Series 2024

Body

SMP is dedicated to providing platforms for sharing, disseminating research, and creating collaborative networks for all of our staff and students. The 2024 SMP Seminar Series launches Thursday, 22 February at 12pm!

This series focuses on elevating research within SMP, with particular emphasis on highlighting the research conducted by HDR Students and Early Career Researchers. It also ensures regular opportunities for researchers external to SMP to present.

With variable commitments and schedules across the School, the seminars are scheduled for different times on alternating weeks to improve accessibility.

Day/Time/Location: Every Thursday as follows:

  • 12:00-1:00PM commencing 22/02/2024 (First seminar for 2024) and alternating weeks. Location: Innovations Theatre, Anthony Low Building, 124 Eggleston Rd, ANU or Zoom
  • 4:00-5:00PM commencing 29/02/2024 and alternating weeks. Location: Peter Baume Building 42A Level 2, Room 2.05, University Avenue ANU or Zoom

Co-ordinated by Dr Nicole Vargas and Dr Joanne Rathbone, all academic, clinical staff and HDR students are encouraged to present their research in 2024.

Other information:

  • This series will be hybrid, so anyone can join to listen or present, but we encourage face to face, where possible.
  • The lunch time seminar will include tea/coffee biscuits.
  • The afternoon seminar offers the option to migrate to Badger for networking post-seminar.
  • This series is family friendly and all-inclusive – you may bring little ones if required!
