Professor Martin Veysey

About
Martin Veysey is the Head of the Canberra Clinical School, of the School of Medicine and Psychology, at the Australian National University. He is a gastroenterologist and general medicine physician based at Canberra Hospital and in the Northern Territory. He has a MBBS degree (University of London), Masters of Clinical Education (Flinders University) and Business Administration (UCL) and a research doctorate (University of London). He holds Fellowships with the UK, and Australian, College of Physicians.
He is a highly respected and experienced medical educator with extensive experience and an international reputation for delivering high quality innovative teaching to undergraduate and postgraduate medical students and trainees. He has proven strategic leadership ability in a clinical and higher education context in both Australia and the UK.
His clinical and research interests include luminal gastroenterology, clinical aspects of liver disease, molecular nutrition and medical education. He has published extensively in these areas.
