Overview

The prize is a gift from Mr Louis Szabo, founding member of ANU Medical School Anatomy Laboratory. The prize has been awarded since 2010. In 2020 the prize celebrated its 10th anniversary with a morning tea at which Mr Szabo presented a commemorative plaque of the original crystal award mounted on a wooden background. The plaque includes the engraved names of past recipients of the prize. Future recipients of the prize will be added to the commemorative plaque.

The Louis Szabo 'Silver Probe' Prize has been developed to promote knowledge of and interest in Anatomy as part of basic science in medicine. You can read more about the history of the prize, here.
