My elective placement was at Cho Ray Hospital, the largest general hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. I spent two weeks in the Emergency department followed by two weeks in the Tropical Disease & Toxicology department.

For my elective, I had the lovely opportunity to join the interventional cardiology team at St Bartholomew’s Hospital in London. This was through the University of London.

I undertook my elective placement in the UK with the London HEMS team (Helicopter Emergency Medical Service), also called London’s Air Ambulance. 

Mutare Provincial Hospital is a referral hospital servicing the eastern province of Manicaland. The hospital refers on to Harare Central Hospital and Parireyantwa Hospital as required.
