About

Dr Peter Scott is the Director of Cardiology at Canberra Health Services, having previously worked as the Director of Cardiology at Calvary Public Hospital Bruce . Prior to then he worked as an Interventional Cardiology Consultant at the Gloucester Royal Hospital, Gloucester, United Kingdom. He completed his UK Certification of Completion of Training (CCT) in Interventional Cardiology in August 2013 and has performed many thousands of diagnostic and first operator interventional cardiac catheterisations (predominantly trans-radial). He also has first operator training in IVUS, OCT, FFR and Rotablation techniques.

Dr Scott completed a senior clinical fellowship at King’s College Hospital London in Interventional Cardiology, gaining new experiences and techniques in advanced interventional and structural cardiology. From August 2013 until February 2015, he worked as a senior fellow in interventional cardiology at the Austin Hospital, Melbourne Australia. During this time, he not only gained PCI expertise, but was also heavily involved with several quality improvement projects, including the TAVI programme at the Austin Hospital.

Dr Scott has a major interest in utilising his cardiology experience and knowledge for the delivery of patient focused care and promoting staff education through dedicated teaching sessions and is very excited by the additional future opportunities in Interventional Cardiology.
