I decided to undertake my medical elective at the Batemans Bay Emergency Department. I had completed my year of placement in the Eurobodalla shire that year as part of rural stream. As such I was familiar with the structure of the hospital and how emergency worked in the area as well as the staff.

During the month of Dec 2019, I completed an elective Obstetrics and Gynaecology placement in Bega, New South Wales.

I completed my elective between second and third year of medical school under the supervision of Dr Nazih Assaad at RNSH in North Ryde, Sydney. It was a fantastic, albeit daunting, experience.
