Spirits high despite soggy start to Rural Week

This week, our year 1 Doctor of Medicine and Surgery students are being introduced to rural medicine. Students have been allocated to visit one of five locations, either Goulburn, Cowra, Cooma, Young or Bega.
The week provides a mix of social and clinical activities and also gives students the opportunity to spend quality time and develop stronger relationships with their peers.
Social activities have included yoga and meditation classes, dinner with local residents and doctors, a visit to a wildlife park and a picnic lunch at Mount Kosciuszko. Clinical activities have included visits to to the local hospital, learning to plaster, suture and take blood pressure, and an emergency services exercise includng a mutli-car collision with fire.
Photos of the week so far can be seen in the photo section above.
