About

Mental health is influenced by many factors. The purposes of the study are to;

1. find a new way to better measure hopelessness, and

2. to investigate the effects of hopelessness on various aspects of mental health, such as low moods, self-perception, social relationships, and suicide thoughts. Many mental health studies have been carried out using clinical samples. However, we would like to better   understand factors that influence mental health within the greater community given that not everyone with mental health challenges will seek psychological services.

A summary of the study findings, when available, will be provided on this webpage.
