Last Wednesday, Associate Professor Louise Stone delivered a touching and deeply insightful presentation at this year’s Jane Dahlstrom Lecture, reflecting on the 10-year journey to develop and edit her book; Sexual Harassment Between Doctors.

At the heart of the lecture were the individual voices of survivors. Their rich, lived experiences provided new insights into the deeply systemic and complex problem of sexual harassment.  Associate Professor Stone worked with authors from across the globe, from Japan to Zambia to Northern Europe, in order to highlight the subtle nuances and varied cultural contexts that make addressing harassment within the medical profession so challenging.

Following the presentation, co-editors Professor Christine Phillips and Emeritus Professor Kirsty Douglas joined a panel Q&A, engaging directly with the audience to offer solutions and take meaningful steps toward breaking the silence on this topic.
