The School of Medicine and Psychology (SMP) will be holding a welcome and induction session for all new honorary clinicians across our School, as well as for honorary clinicians who are interested in applying for academic promotion in 2024.

There will be presentations from:

• Professor Paul Fitzgerald, Director, School of Medicine and Psychology
• Dr Karin Messerle, Associate Dean Phase 1 Teaching and Learning, SMP
• Dr Nicholas Taylor, Associate Dean Phase 2 Teaching and Learning, SMP
• Dr Lillian Smyth, Associate Director Higher Degree by Research Students, SMP
• Professor Chris Nolan, Associate Director, Research, SMP
• Associate Professor Alexandra Webb, Associate Director Education (Medicine), SMP
• Dr Brett Scholz, medical student research projects and how to get involved.

The session aims to introduce attendees to key School staff, provide practical information on how honorary academic clinicians can get involved in the School, and what professional development opportunities can be accessed. A Q&A session after the presentation will provide helpful information on applying for academic promotion.
