The SMP Canberra Clinical School will be hosting a welcome and induction event for all new honorary clinicians across our various Clinical Schools and all current honorary clinicians who are interested in applying for academic promotion in 2023.

There will be presentations from:

• Professor Paul Fitzgerald, Director, SMP
• Dr Karin Messerle, Associate Dean Phase 1 Teaching and Learning
• Dr Nick Taylor, Associate Dean Phase 2 Teaching and Learning
• Dr Lillian Smyth, Associate Director Higher Degree by Research
• Professor Chris Nolan, Associate Director, Research
• Associate Professor Alexandra Webb, Associate Director Education (Medicine)

The session aims to introduce attendees to key School staff, provide practical information about how honorary academics can get involved in the School, and what and how professional development opportunities can be accessed. A Q&A session after the presentation will provide helpful information on how to apply for academic promotion.
