Brin Grenyer is Senior Professor of Psychology at the University of Wollongong and Director of the Project Air Strategy for Personality Disorders, in partnership with NSW Health (www.projectairstrategy.org). He was Foundation Chair of the Psychology Board of Australia overseeing the registration and conduct of all psychologists in Australia (2009-2018). He was a member of the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Borderline Personality Disorder Guideline Development Committee. In 2020 he was listed in the world top 1% of experts in the field of Borderline Personality Disorder (https://expertscape.com). In addition to his role on numerous editorial boards, he and his team have been awarded over 50 grants totalling more than 18 million in funding, and he has published over 175 journal articles, chapters, books and monographs.

Personality disorders are a high prevalence condition within mental health services, accounting for 20-25% of emergency presentations and inpatient admissions. Psychological therapy is the treatment of choice. Stepped care models have been proposed to manage the demand but also provide responsive care to meet demand. Findings from an RCT and associated work is presented.
